Region Of Western Greece

The Region of Western Greece, with an area of ​​11,336 sq.m., is divided into the regional units of Etoloakarnania, Achaia, Ilia and covers at the same time the northern and northwestern part of the Peloponnese, as well as the western part of Central Greece. This region should not be confused with the geographical part of western Greece, which also includes Epirus and the islands of the Ionian Sea. Its capital is its largest city, Patras, famous for its carnival which offers unique movie scenes prevailed of the spirit of celebration and joy.
