Of course, Greece Can(nes)!

With five films in the festival’s line-up, awards, positive reviews, as well as a strong presence in cultural policy think tanks, parallel promotion, networking and training activities, the Greek film industry had an impactful run in Cannes.

The successful Greek participation’s impressive capstone was the Palme d’or!

Ruben Ostlund with Triangle of Sadness, which filmed in Evia and Peloponnese in co-production with George Karnavas and Konstantinos Kontovrakis of Heretic Films won the Palme d’or for best feature. Additionally, David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the future, which filmed in Athens in co-production with Argonauts SA, premiered In Competition and impressed both the audience and the critics.
