Of course, Greece Can(nes)!

With five films in the festival’s line-up, awards, positive reviews, as well as participation in cultural policy think tanks, parallel promotion, networking and training activities, Greek Cinema had an impactful presence in Cannes.

The successful Greek participation’s capstone, the Palme d’or!

Ruben Ostlund with Triangle of Sadness, which filmed in Evia and Peloponnese in co-production with George Karnavas and Konstantinos Kontovrakis of Heretic Films won the Palme d’or for best feature. Finally David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the future, which filmed in Athens in co-production with Argonauts SA, premiered In Competition and excited both the audience and the critics.
